Kemble was a magazine and book illustrator, best-known for his illustrations to the first edition of Mark Twain's Huckleberry Finn and associated with pen drawings of the deep south of the USA.

Approx. paper size (43 x 35 cm.) Pen and ink on Strathmore drawing board. Twelve separate images of golfers in humorous positions. Framed. Some light water staining mainly to the right hand side, a small splash mark lower left.
